Imbolc/Imbolg (February 2)
Also Known by its Christian name, "Candlemas"

Candlemas is one of the four major sabbats. It is also one of my favorites.
Pagans Christians and peaceful, God loving people, all over the world celebrate
with the Feast of Purification of Mary, mother of Jesus. Also, on the funnier side
it is Ground Hog Day! Witches often associate this festival with the Celtic Goddess
Bridgid. Imbolc symbolizes the first stirrings of growth and the new spring, when life
returns after darkness of winter, it marks the halfway point between the time when
the days begin to get longer, Yule and spring equinox. So plan a fun get together
and toast in Candlemas.
